Throughout the month, the children worked on this beautiful mural. As they learned a lot about the desert and things we see in the desert, they had the opportunity to create their own version of the desert cactus mural. The children first painted the sky with red and yellow paint. They, then worked on the layout of the brown land with hills. As they waited for the paint to dry, the students began to decorate their own cactus, using rice. To complete the mural, they placed each cactus on to create the beautiful scene :).
At Le Parc Place, we encourage out students to participate in large art projects that require collaborations. This way, the students develop social and creative skills at the same time. When discussing their process with one another, they imagination is enhanced and follow through in an activity.
